So my second model for 2020 is now complete... and here we have another cool-looking character for my Flesh Tearers Army...
Continuing with my noble goal of working through my huge unpainted pile of plastic for this year I have randomly selected the Primaris Librarian from the Shadowspear boxset.
Much like last week’s Primaris Captain I’m not sure how much use this chap will actually get on the battlefield... but he is such a dynamic, amazing looking model that I simply had to paint him. I was especially keen to tackle those camo robes....
I really love the pose of this model; unlike many of the older librarian miniatures this guy actually looks like he is in the middle of casting some destructive psychic power upon the unlucky foes of the Emperor.
Overall I’m really pleased with how this figure has turned out... especially the leather work which I think looks both worn and authentic.
I have to say that I really enjoy painting these new Primaris characters, they are such crisp sculpts with such awesome levels of detail all over them.
I imagine I’ll have a crack at a few more of these guys in 2020!
I love the mini and have to say that your paintjob makes it look awesome. Well done!
ReplyDeleteCheers Suber! It was an awesome mini to paint! I’m so please with how it turned out!
DeleteThe camo on the cloak is ridiculous! Excellent work.
ReplyDeleteCheers mate! He matches my scouts!
DeleteGreat looking model. Like the camo on the cloak
ReplyDeleteCheers Neil. It took a while to do, but it was worth it!
DeleteGreat brushwork! As others have noted, that cloak in particular is fantastic.
ReplyDeleteThanks Greg. Can’t wait to use him in action!
DeleteI agree, a brilliant model.
ReplyDeleteYour brushwork is equally excellent though, especially the cloak and your edge highlighting.
Thanks mate!
DeleteDamn, that's nice! Love the camouflage and that power sword is just out of this world!
